In the late 80s, nearly a decade after the show had been canceled, executive producers attempted to reboot the show for a new audience. However, yet again, their attempts failed. According to the leading producer Aaron Spelling, the revival didn’t manage to happen because of money.
It had been delayed for several years, but by the time the deadline came around, the network decided to invest money elsewhere. Some of its original cast were due to return, too!
