Unfortunately, not everyone is able to solve their money troubles. Sometimes people take them to the grave, and that sadly happened to Ed McMahon, best known for the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson.
McMahon admitted that at one point he was spending more money than he was making – tipping far too well, trying to kickstart his third wife’s clothing line, etc. After the 2008 stock market crash, a few divorces, and a serious injury, he was living out of his means. In 2009, he died at 86, still in debt.
