Thankfully, their knowledge of each other’s career (or lack thereof) did not put either of them off. Just a few weeks after their first official meeting, Serena plucked up the courage to ask Alexis if he wanted to join her for a weekend in Paris. She was getting ready for the 2015 French Open but would be able to find the time to slip away from training and meet up for a few hours. Of course, Alexis couldn’t turn down such an exciting offer, and he later made his way to Paris for their romantic getaway.
