Taylor and Rachael both helped Gene to get the glasses on and fitted. All they needed to do was tighten a few straps, and he would be given his sight. Gene adjusted the front and turned to one side. Thankfully, the glasses were linked to a camera.
This meant that everyone in the audience got to watch everything that Gene was seeing. His eyes soon locked with Joy’s for the first time. Gene couldn’t utter any words other than “she’s pretty” as soon as he saw his wife.
