It seems that the groom-to-be’s mom had no intention of following a dress code at all, and decided she was better off coming in something else entirely. The dress his mom turned up in made quite the statement to the bride and groom and put them in a difficult situation.
It turns out that the almost-mother-in-law had decided it would be a good idea to turn up in a dress that was almost identical to the bride’s. It wasn’t quite the same as turning up in a white dress.
