The sad reason as to why there was a last-minute change was that Becky’s father, Tim Carey, had been battling with prostate cancer for a while. Unfortunately, in the run-up to the wedding, his health had severely deteriorated, and his fight was sadly being lost. Becky explained that his body was now at the point where it couldn’t handle any more treatment, and he was getting weaker and weaker.
On the week Becky sent the email, her dad was due to go into hospice, and so the request was very last minute because the family wasn’t sure how long of his life he had left to live. It was a very pressing time for Becky, and she felt her engagement photos with Matt could wait.
