[post_page_title]Entertaining the crowd[/post_page_title]
Back in the 1970s, it wasn’t uncommon to find women like this being carted around the track to entertain the crowd. The cars the fans have come to see whizz past them at 200 miles per hour, so sometimes it’s nice to be able to see what’s going on.
Models and pit girls like these would be slowly paraded around the track to keep spirits high in the audience while they wait for the race to begin. It’s a tough job, but somebody’s got to do it.
