It seems this form of parading women around the track was pretty common back in the day. We really don’t blame anyone for holding on as tightly as possible to this hammer-like pole.
After all, it’s the only thing stopping the models on the back of the car from either falling onto the driver, or worse, face planting the asphalt. Considering this model isn’t wearing very much, a fall onto the track cause her a serious injury.
