After Selverstone graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a BFA in acting, she moved to New York and immediately began working in the bustling Broadway scene. After appearing as a number of bit roles in the teen drama Dawson’s Creek, medical drama L.A. Doctors, and the legal drama series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, she starred as a young Maggie Smith in the drama film Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood. She retired from the acting business in 2012 and lives a quiet life out of the public eye in New York City.
