Robert Blossom was already a veteran of the acting world by the time he arrived to the set of Home Alone. He first started his acting career in the theater, before beginning to appear on the screen in 1958.
His long list of credits includes films such as The Hospital, The Great Gatsby, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Resurrection, Flashpoint, and Vision Quest. After he retired from acting in the late ‘90s he dabbled in writing poetry. Robert passed away in 2011 at the age of 87.
