Apart from the Home Alone movies, John Heard had roles in many other films and shows such as Beaches, The Pelican Brief, The Sopranos, and Prison Break. He was also an accomplished theater actor, appearing in Broadway and Off-Broadway plays.
Unfortunately in July 2017 news broke that the beloved actor had died. Later, it was revealed that he died of cardiac arrest, resulting from heart disease. Many around the world mourned his passing, including his former cast mates and fans.

Buzz McCallister is Kevin’s older brother, and like many big brothers he takes it upon himself to mess with his younger sibling. Buzz is a bit of a bully to Kevin and seems to constantly be standing in the way of what Kevin wants.
At one point when asked if he’s worried about Kevin, Buzz responds that “he’s not that lucky,” implying he doesn’t really care about his brother. But at the end of the movie it does seem like they secretly hold a little bit of affection for one another.
