John Candy was a legendary comedian who appeared in many films and shows such as SCTV, The Blues Brothers, Spaceballs, and Uncle Buck. His time with Macaulay Culkin in Uncle Buck is actually what propelled both of them to be cast by John Hughes in Home Alone.

Sadly, John Candy passed away in 1994 while on vacation in Canada. His Home Alone and SCTV co-star, and friend, Catherine O’Hara gave a moving eulogy at his funeral. He is still missed by many fans and friends today.
