Taran Noah Smith portrayed the role of Mark on the show, since he was seven years old until he was sixteen. Upon leaving the show, Taran decided to leave his acting days behind him.
At the age of 17, he married Heidi van Pelt, who was 33 years old at the time. The couple started a company for manufacturing vegan cheese, but unfortunately, the couple divorced in 2007. Taran’s mother wrote a book called “Stardom Happens” about her son’s child actor days, warning parents about the hazards of the profession.
