Professor Stromwell is introduced as the stern Law professor at Harvard, who kicks Elle out of her class after she didn’t complete the readings. This introduction to the intense nature that is Law School is a shock to the ditzy Elle, who is inspired by this incident to put in more effort.
Eventually, she pushes Elle to take her studies more seriously, as well as encourages and supports her when she realizes that Professor Callahan only offered Elle an internship because he was attracted to her.
