Willie Nelson has been making country music for decades now. However, just because he’s hugely successful – he’s reportedly sold over 40 million albums in the U.S. alone – that doesn’t mean he’s rich. His troubles with the IRS are pretty well-known, with the singer even releasing a record to help pay back what he owed.
Entitled ‘The IRS Tapes: Who’ll Buy My Memories?,’ the collection paid off $3.6 million worth of debts. However, Nelson still had nearly $10 million left to pay back after the album’s release.
