Throughout his acting career, Burt Reynolds had quite a few standout roles. He was considered the top box office star in the late ‘70s and early ‘80s, but then things started to slip. He had a string of unsuccessful movies that both damaged his career and reportedly affected his finances, especially after taking loans he couldn’t repay.
Although Reynolds didn’t talk much about money, it’s believed that things got so bad the actor had to sell some of his movie memorabilia. Those were desperate times for the star, but thankfully, they didn’t last forever.
