Once you hit the big time, you can probably justify going on a crazy shopping spree or two. Now that you have the money to afford it, you’ve earned the right to treat yourself. Of course, some celebrities don’t know when to stop when it comes to spending their fortunes.
Nicolas Cage, for instance, blew more than $100 million on a variety of unnecessary expenses. This included a dinosaur skull, an octopus, and two private islands. It’s no wonder the actor ended up owing the IRS $6.3 million.
