In 2007, actress Kristen Bell began dating Dax Shepard, who is also an actor from Metro Detroit. The couple met at an intimate dinner party, where Bell reported that Shepard would not stop talking.
In 2010, they announced that they were engaged, however they decided to postpone their marriage until legislation was passed in the state of California legalizing marriage equality. In early 2013, they welcomed their first daughter. Later that year, the legislation was passed and Bell proposed to Shepard via Twitter, which he accepted. They were married a few months later and had a second daughter in 2014.
