In 2005, Tom Cruise began dating the actress Katie Holmes. Cruise famously pronounced his love for Holmes, jumping on the couch at The Oprah Winfrey Show. In 2006, Katie gave birth to the couple’s daughter, Suri.
Later that year, Holmes and Cruise got married at the Odascalchi Castle in Bracciano, Italy, with a ceremony that was in line with Cruise’s faith of Scientology. However, in 2012, Holmes filed for divorce and a month later the divorce was finalized.
