Hilary Duff has been dating the songwriter Matthew Koma since 2017, however the couple met whilst working together for her 2015 album ‘Breath In. Breathe Out.’ In 2018, the couple announced that Hilary was pregnant with their first child together and their daughter, Banks Violet Bair, was born via a home water birth in October of that year.
A few months later, in May 2019, Duff and Koma announced their engagement. In December of 2019, they wed in a small, private and intimate backyard ceremony.
