Courtney Love and the late Kurt Cobain may have been one of the most iconic and notable rock and roll couples of all time. They definitely had a whirlwind love story, which unfortunately ended in tragedy when Cobain took his own life in 1994. What is less commonly known about their relationship, however, is that it allegedly started out as an affair. Love was actually dating Smashing Pumpkins lead singer Billy Corgan when she first started things up with the Nirvana singer. After a Smashing Pumpkins show, Courtney spent the night with some Nirvana members, thus beginning it all. Frances Bean, Love and Cobain’s child, was conceived on a night that Love was supposed to be meeting with Corgan instead.
