Alongside his acting and writing, Buddy Ebsen was also an accomplished singer, appearing on several tracks on the ‘Beverly Hillbillies’ show album. However, he also moved into solo projects, releasing a solo folk album – entitled ‘Buddy Ebsen Says Howdy’ – in 1965.
The album was comprised of country classics covered by Ebsen – and although it was not a huge commercial success, it did manage to find some popularity among pre-existing fans of Ebsen and the show.
