In the Reddit thread, one person thought the guy’s wife was maybe trying to prove to him she was the better parent. They thought this might be the wife’s way of telling the guy that she feels as though she isn’t being supported.
However, the guy is busy going out to work to help bring in enough money for the kids to grow up happy and healthy. The commenter felt this argument was less about the marks on the children and more about the wife wanting her husband to help.
