Everyone knows how important tea is to a Brit, but for this guy, it was on a whole new level. The fact he wasn’t offered a drink or a teabag shows, in his eyes, how terrible it all was. Generally speaking, the NHS provides free treatment for the patient and no one else.
That might seem really harsh because fathers are trying to be there for their partners. However, it’s more logical to tend to the many mothers on the ward who need comfort, attention, and care.
