Ava Cota quickly became the star of the show after joining the series in season three. Although Abby wanted the young dancer to challenge her fellow dancer, Kendall Vertes, it wasn’t long before Ava was booted off the team. The dancer quickly signed up to her mother’s dancing team at JC’s Broadway Dance Academy and was later seen in season five as part of the rival Candy Apple team. It seems as though those 30 hours of training a week were about to pay off for the star.
