The other theory that was in the ether was that Dolly was trying to cover up scarring on her arms. There was this idea that she had gotten the tattoos on her arms for two reasons. One, because she liked them. Two, so she could cover up this scarring.
After a while, people’s speculations were confirmed to be true, because Dolly herself came out and admitted it. When she did that, she gained even more respect from people, if that’s even possible.
