During an interview with IndieWire, Parisa opened up about much of the prejudice Meghan received when it was announced she was engaged to Prince Harry. The actress spoke about Meghan’s ethnicity in particular.
She explained that she is also biracial and from the same generation as Meghan, so she has had to deal with her fair share of prejudice too. Parisa said that she hoped the movie would let people see the couple’s true story and perhaps even change the way people think.
