Trading Spaces wasn’t all about design fails; the show also made stars out of their designers and host. Paige Davis was hired to host Trading Spaces for its second season. The perky and bubbly host was brought in to replace Alex McLeod after the producers thought her style just wasn’t working for the show. Davis was a musical theater actress prior to leading the reality series who starred as the vain Roxie Hart on Broadway in Chicago. She is married to actor Patrick Page, currently starring as the ultimate villain Menenius on Broadway in the classic Shakespeare tragedy, Coriolanus.
