Following a painful divorce just two years ago to Narvel Blackstock, McEntire is reentering the scene little by little. She starred and produced in a pilot for ABC, Red Blooded, and is currently developing a TV series with Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry, Household Name. She released an album of traditional hymns, Sing It Now: Songs of Faith & Hope, last year. Despite the divorce, she is still very close with sister-in-law (and popstar) Kelly Clarkson, who is married to the son of her former husband.
