Chances are, you’ve heard of Gigi Hadid before. Over the last few years, she has become one of the world’s most influential supermodels. Ever since first signing to IMG Models, one of the world’s most prominent modeling agencies, in 2013, the 22-year-old’s career has skyrocketed. Now in 2018, it seems like she is literally everywhere. She’s become a major Instagram celebrity, has appeared in nearly every magazine from Vogue to Sports Illustrated, and walked for the biggest names in the industry – including Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Micheal Kors, Versace, Tommy Hilfiger, and Diane Von Furstenberg. She has proved herself not only as an immensely successful model, but also as a designer, and has co-designed her own collection with Tommy Hilfiger.
But Gigi isn’t the only star of the Hadid family. At 21, her stunning and talented younger sister Bella is not far behind, and is right up there with Gigi as one of the world’s most famous models. So where did these two supermodels come from?
Gigi and Bella both grew up in a very affluent, successful, and beautiful family. Not only is their mother a former model, but their father Mohamed is a multi-millionaire real estate developer. Although Gigi and Bella may be the most well-known in the Hadid clan, they also have a younger brother named Anwar, who just turned 18 and is already a force to be reckoned with on the runway. It should also come as no surprise that Gigi, Bella, and Anwar have two gorgeous half-sisters from their father’s side, named Alana and Marielle, who are equally talented and amazing in their own right… all in all, the many siblings show that the Hadid genes must be made of gold.
The Hadid family is certainly up there with the Kardashians as one of the most famous and beautiful ones around. In fact, they are even related to them (more on that later…). However, they don’t let the fame get to them and are still just a normal, loving, and close-knit family, who like like any family, is not at all perfect. They have had their fair share of ups and downs in life, and have had to deal with some pretty hard times, including a difficult divorce and struggling with a terrible illness.
