Not everyone was a fan of Mister Rogers. Some people felt that his message of telling kids they are special and loved was problematic, as it may end up damaging their ability to handle rejection in the future as adults. Some people also criticized Rogers himself. One news segment on Fox and Friends referred to him as an “evil, evil man.” There were also rumors that he was a rude man who would kick children off his front porch on Halloween, and that he was terribly unkind in person.
