The cook’s love for animals is something that’s been well documented over the years. After Hurricane Sandy struck back 2012, Rachael reportedly donated $500,000 to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.

She wanted to help them build a shelter to protect those impacted by the natural disaster. Ray feels so passionately about animals that she even established her own pet food brand in 2008. She’d always fed her pit bull using her own specially-designed recipes, and she decided to share them with the world.
