Unfortunately, while she might have established her pet food brand with good intentions, she quickly ran into legal trouble with it. The brand was sued by a man who claimed that it contained a “potentially harmful” herbicide.
He stated that the products were “deceptive” because they were incorrectly labeled as “natural,” despite their contents. Tests allegedly discovered glyphosate in the food, a chemical with potentially detrimental health effects. The man wanted to sue for $5 million, but luckily for Ray, the lawsuit was thrown out due to “lack of specificity.”
