Although Ryan Gosling is now an award-winning actor known for memorable roles in films like The Notebook and La La Land, he once went down a very different career path. Back when Gosling was on The Mickey Mouse Club as a teen, Backstreet Boys’ A.J. McLean was his next-door neighbor.
The future boyband star apparently asked his friend to be in the pre-famed Backstreet Boys, but had his offer turned down. Then, when Gosling ended up changing his mind and returning his neighbor’s call, McLean forgot to call back.
