In 2005, while filming a show in South Africa, Benedict Cumberbatch and two of his friends were abducted by a group of six men after they got stranded on the side of the road from a broken tire.
The friends were thrown into a trunk for hours and eventually let free without any explanation. The event was so traumatizing, that the Doctor Strange actor claims he will never forget it and uses it as a reminder to “live a life less ordinary.”
