In 1987, while on vacation in Ireland with Ferris Bueller’s Day Off co-star and girlfriend at the time Jennifer Grey, Matthew Broderick collided head-on with another car.
While both actors survived the crash with minor injuries, the two passengers in the other vehicle, a 28-year-old woman and her mother, tragically passed away. Broderick was faced with serving a sentence of up to 10 years in prison, but was ultimately fined $175 and convicted of a lesser charge of ‘careless driving.’
