The couple announced in December 2016 that they were officially separating, one month before Tarek announced he was filing for divorce. However, it was later revealed that the pair had been apart a lot longer than we were initially led to believe.
In fact, Tarek and Christina had been separated for most of 2016! The couple had already begun to see other people before they announced their official split. Thankfully, the divorce hasn’t come between them, as they continue to co-parent their children and film their much-loved show together.
