At one point while the couple were in the process of splitting up, Tarek became so distraught that he grabbed a handgun he had stashed in his house, grabbed a backpack, jumped the fence of their home, and began running down the mountain trail by their home.
Christina was in hysterics and called the police. The police arrived with a helicopter within seconds and began speaking to Tarek over the loudspeaker system. Thankfully, it all ended peacefully.
