Upon questioning why he ran out of his house armed with a deadly weapon, Tarek said that he wanted to go walking on the trail to clear his mind.
There are coyotes and mountain lions in the hills around the couples’ former Los Angeles home, and so Tarek said he brought along a firearm for protection. When the police showed up, Tarek immediately complied and he dropped his weapon, answering their many questions regarding his actions.
