It may come as a surprise that Tim Allen, who won hearts all over the country for his longtime role as Tim ‘The Toolman’ Taylor on the popular ’90s sitcom Home Improvement, was a real rebel in his youth. The actor was arrested in October 1978 in Kalamazoo, Michigan after police found that he was trying to travel with illegal substances.
In exchange of serving a possible life sentence, the future TV star provided the names of the other people involved, and ended up serving two years and four months in jail instead.
