By the time the mid-’90s came around, the couple were struggling with their own demons, as well as the troubles that their son was facing. Because of this, their relationship became more and more strained, and this eventually led Ryan into the arms of another woman.
During an interview with Vanity Fair, Ryan noted that he was feeling “sick of it” and “underappreciated,” and that’s why he decided to enter into an affair. His partner in crime was Leslie Stefanson, an actress who was almost four decades younger than Ryan.
