After a few years apart to focus on themselves, the O’Neal/Fawcett family were hit by the news in 2001 that Ryan had leukemia. This news came as a tough blow to the actor himself and those around him, but it was this news that actually brought Farrah back into his life.
The two reconciled, and they decided to give their relationship another shot. They forgot about the past, and they started afresh. They lived apart for much of this time, and this worked better for both of them.
