We recently lost the exquisite big screen tough guy Burt Reynolds in a sad year for the industry. However, back when Macdonald was making a name for himself on Saturday Night Live, Reynolds got wind of Norm’s impression of him, and reportedly loved it.
Macdonald is quoted as saying, “He called me and said he wanted to come on the show as he loved my impression of him.” Reynolds was always a star well-known for his sense of humor, and it is a shame he never got to appear on the show himself.
