One of the main reasons why Sophia can reapply to college is because she wasn’t the one who faked her own test scores. Because her mother was the one who did it and because she was none the wiser, Sophia has the chance to reapply and retest herself.
In fact, if she had been the one to fake her own test scores, she would have been able to reapply anyway.
