Every film has a quota to fill when it hits the big screen. If enough people don’t pay money to go and see it, then the movie is a failure – plain and simple. With many productions having eight or nine-figure budgets, there’s a lot of pressure on them to perform well. Unfortunately, money can’t always buy success. If the promotion is poorly done, or the premise simply doesn’t appeal to audiences, many won’t pay out $10 to go and see it. Some films know that all too well.

Many people love a good horror. There’s nothing like getting your heart pumping as the tension and jumpscares frighten you out of your seat. However, with the genre so popular, it’s hard for a film to really stand out.
“Storage 24” is one of those movies that never really got off the ground. The premise of people being trapped in a confined space with a menacing creature might have sounded great on paper, but it didn’t translate well on the big screen. That’s why “Storage 24” only earned $72 on opening night.
