Reality films aren’t really something you hear about often, and there’s a reason for that: they’re not easy to pull off, and “The Real Cancun” showed why. Credited by reviewers as being tame and predictable, the film never really got as wild as people expected.
Clearly, the film was just too ahead of its time. Ever since the reality show “Jersey Shore” launched, TV shows in the same vein as “The Real Cancun” have been popping up everywhere. Maybe if it were released now, it would make more than $932 on opening night?
