Films set around artificial intelligence fighting back is set to only become more popular as the reality of it happening grows likelier. As with many movies based on this subject matter, “Morgan” attempted to show how dangerous our need to continue developing and improving technology can be.
Unfortunately, the audience wasn’t so impressed by its approach to the sci-fi horror genre, so they didn’t go home raving about the film to their friends and family. After earning $996 on opening night, things looked bad for “Morgan,” though it did make $8.8 million overall.
