Recording an overall loss of around $46 million, things just weren’t meant to be for “Delgo.” The signs were there on the opening night when the film failed to pull in more than $237, and reviews came back largely negative.
The animation was criticized for being inferior, while critics felt that the plot featured elements taken from a variety of other fantasy films. Unfortunately, with problems behind the scenes leading the film to receive multiple setbacks, “Delgo” seems like one of those movies that was never destined for success.
