Horror films definitely seem to be hit or misses, and “Bad Samaritan” sadly appears to fall into the latter category. Only released in May 2018, the movie didn’t perform well on opening night, pulling in no more than $860.
Although it went on to make $4.4 million overall at the box office, the production didn’t get anyone particularly excited. Reviews labeled the film as having an “iffy direction” and being “less ambitious” than the director’s usual work. At least with a 53% score on Rotten Tomatoes, it wasn’t completely hated.
