Put Bill Murray in a film, and it’s bound to be a success, right? If only. While the lineup of Murray, Kate Hudson, and Bruce Willis gave people a reason to be optimistic about “Rock the Kasbah,” the movie simply didn’t deliver the goods.
Reviews pointed out that the film failed to make use of Murray’s exceptional talents, so viewers made no effort to go and watch it. As a result, the comedy film only made $731 when it opened, leading to total earnings of $3.4 million at the box office.
